Advent by Candlelight-December 6th

All the ladies of MOD and STJ are invited!

Women do most if not all of the planning, shopping, and cooking for the holidays. So let’s take a break by preparing ourselves for the Coming of Christ—and allow that to sustain and direct us in the coming weeks of that holy season. With time for prayer, visiting, enjoying finger foods, and an inspiring speaker, Advent by Candlelight hopes to ready your hearts to welcome Jesus at Christmas, and all of your other guests too.

To join us, please fill out the form, OR call/email the office to sign up or to confirm you are hosting a table by December 1st. If you’d like, please bring an appetizer, finger food, or dessert to share.

After the 4 PM Mass on Sat., Dec. 6th, please enter the MOD parish center. The table’s host will welcome you. After an opening prayer, please enjoy the food and time in conversation at your table. Our speaker, Larry Emerick, will then tell us his conversion story. We will close with a few Advent hymns.

A $5 donation is appreciated and will be donated to St. Joseph’s Food Pantry and Clothes Closet.

How can you help make this a success?

Volunteer to host a table. We will need ladies to host a table, decorate it with their favorite Advent/Christmas/Winter theme dishes, silverware, tablecloths, and centerpieces.

Bring a dish to share.

Invite. Please invite your mothers, grandmothers, granddaughters, sisters, nieces, cousins, neighbors, friends, Catholic and non-Catholic. Advent by Candlelight is an opportunity to bring back some who have become irregular in their Sunday worship, or welcome those who need a church home.
